Andance

Andance was formerly a busy mercantile port on the Rhône and an important inland waterway trade route. The modern quay development welcome travellers stopping off from river cruises and taking time out to see this pretty village and the oldest suspension bridge still in use in France. Built in 1827, it links Drôme and Ardèche. The St. Jean-François Régis church door dates from the 12th century, the St. Bosc chapel from the 11th century. Walks and fishing on the Cance, Rhône and Iône river at Sarras.
