Saint-Etienne-de-Valoux

With its 236 hectares, St. Etienne de Valoux has the smallest surface area of all the communes in Ardèche.

Sheltered by the Châtelet hill and tucked into a natural depression the Valley Blanche, the fertile, ancient Rhône river bed, the village benefits from a gentle, southern climate.
Carefully restored stone houses, the bricks still bearing the mark of the brickyards, and its country style Romanesque church make it well worth a visit.
The month of April sees a burst of flowering, the blossom on the vineyards, peaches, cherries and apricots proof of its gentle climate.
The village is the starting point for a number of walks, such as the old mule track path leading to panoramic views.
